Overview
Common Ground is a collective of architects running community projects. Their website had to feel built, not decorated.
The scope covered UX, web design and development, delivered over several focused weeks.
Challenge
Their archive spanned thirty years of drawings and photographs with no consistent structure, and visitors could not find anything.
The brief was to move forward without losing what already worked.
Creative approach
We started with the content: a clear taxonomy of projects, places and people, then a layout that lets the photography lead.
The result is a calm, structural site with strong typography, generous margins and a CMS the team can run without help.
Reflection
Good information architecture is invisible when it works. Sample project for demonstration.
We would make the same call again.
